Where everything lives
This is the practical version, for a landlord wondering who can see their tenants' details. The legal privacy notice is at /privacy/; this is how the app actually works.
There is no Doorbook server and no account. Nothing is registered anywhere.
On your device
Rooms, tenants, meter readings, bills and lease photographs are stored by the app on the device.
Through your iCloud account
Signed into iCloud, the book syncs between your own devices through Apple's key-value store, inside your personal Apple account.
Lease scans are far too large for that store, so they stay local. Pro's iCloud backup puts them in your own iCloud Drive.
What never leaves your hands
- The payment QR is drawn on the device from the account details you typed. The app never connects to a bank and never sees a transaction.
- Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple; no card details reach us.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.
Deleting the data
Deleting the app deletes the data on that device. The iCloud copy is removed through the device's own Settings or the app's own Erase all data.
